If I had only piece of equipment to have in my house for building a leaner and stronger body it would be a set of adjustable weight dumbbells (like Power-Blocks). Yeah smarty pants, I know that’s technically two pieces of equipment. But who buys only one dumbbell 🙂
Dumbbells are one of the most versatile pieces of equipment because you can load almost any movement you choose from total body movements like squats to isolation exercises such as bicep curls. This feature also makes dumbbells very functional because they allow for natural actions that follow along with the way your body naturally moves and works.
With dumbbells you get simplicity, versatility and effectiveness wrapped up into a very affordable piece of equipment that doesn’t take up much space.
